How to truly rest without guilt

Saturdays used to confuse me.

I wanted to rest. I needed to rest. But I didn’t know how. I’d sleep in, then feel lazy. I’d scroll on my phone for hours, then feel numb. I’d try to relax, but my mind kept racing with everything I should be doing.

By Saturday night, I’d be more tired than when the weekend started.

Then I learned that rest isn’t just the absence of work. It’s an active practice. It’s something you choose, not something that happens when you finally stop.

This is the final piece in my daily rebuild series. Sunday was the reset. Monday was the start. Tuesday was focus. Wednesday was recalibration. Thursday was connection. Friday was completion. Saturday is about rest.

If you want the full daily series, become a paid subscriber. You’ll get the Sunday Reset, Monday Start, Tuesday Focus, Wednesday Recalibrate, Thursday Connection, Friday Completion, and Saturday Rest.
